Beauty Haul - Fragrance Direct, Kiko & Lush

Don't you just love pay day? It seems like every month when I start running out of money I start a list of things to buy after pay day. Sometimes the lists can get quite lengthy! This month I wanted to treat myself to some nail polishes as I recently had a clear out and got rid of all my old gloopy ones, and was also after some new Spring appropriate lipsticks.

Fragrancedirect.co.uk is a fantastic place to buy discounted beauty products so it's the first place I went to to stock up on some nail polish cheaply. The annoying thing is they don't have a great indicator of colour/shade when it comes to buying things like this, so instead I ended up googling the shade names to look for blog photos and swatches. A time consuming task but when you can get your hands on some Bourjois nail polishes for 99p it's worth it! All of the above polishes were between 99p and £1.99, such a bargain! I chose their So Laque! polish in shade 43 Magenta Show (far left) and their 10 Day Anti Choc No Chips polishes in shades  13, 25 and 16 (left to right). All gorgeous shades for Spring and Summer!

If you read my April Favourites (read here) you will know that I have been loving my Kiko Smart Lipstick in shade 917. I knew I would be passing through Stratford Westfield over the Bank Holiday weekend so decided to pop in to the Kiko store and pick up some new shades. They are so affordable at only £3.90 each! I decided on some pretty Spring appropriate shades which are 902 (left) and 906 (right). These can be applied quite sheer but give a beautiful glossy wash of colour. Full review post on these lipsticks coming soon.

I never really wear lipliner unless I am wearing a bold red lip but thought a subtle pinky-peach nude one like this one from Kiko might help to give my lips a bit more definition, the shade I bought was 604. It is quite unusual in that it has a very creamy texture and doesn't seem to set so I am not sure how I am going to get on with this one.

Annoyingly, as it was a Bank Holiday, Kiko was very busy and I was queuing by their nail polish stand for just a bit too long, which of course led to an impulse buy (damn you retail manipulation and your till point sales!). I picked up this nail lacquer in shade 510. I actually don't have any shades like this and again the pastel lilac shade is perfect for Spring.

There just so happens to be Lush shop next to Kiko so you can imagine what that means! The last few weeks at work have been a bit stressful and one of my favourite ways to relax in the evenings is to have a nice hot bath. I usually just use bubble bath but decided to treat myself to some goodies from Lush. I picked up the Butterball and Sakura bath ballistics and am looking forward to trying these out. They can be quite expensive but I like the novelty of them and they both smell gorgeous.

Now please excuse me, I just need to get started on my list for next pay day....
