The Body Shop Haul

I haven't really shopped at The Body Shop since I was a kid. I occasionally used to get things as birthday and Christmas presents and loved their body butters but I haven't tried anything recently.

I have seen a couple of interesting products on a few other blogs lately and was looking to try some new affordable skin care, so popped on to their website a couple of weeks ago and they had an amazing offer of £30 off when you spend £60! Being able to try £60 worth of products for only £30 was an offer I just couldn't resist.

The first thing I had my eye on was the new Honey Bubble Bath Melt from their Honeymania range which just sounded gorgeous! This was £8 for 300ml so it seemed pretty reasonable and honey products always sound luxurious. Perfect for a relaxing soak in the bath after a hard day at work!

I spent quite a long time browsing the website trying too work out which would be the best skincare range for me. The Body Shop has a fantastic choice and each range is aimed at different skin types. There's a range for dry skin, oily skin, mature skin, sensitive skin, and blemish/acne prone skin. Although the main purpose of a new skincare range was to help rid me of blemishes I thought the best range for me would be for sensitive skin, which was their Aloe range, as my skin seems to react badly to most things.

I purchased the Aloe Soothing Day Cream (£4 for 15ml), the Aloe Protective Restoring Mask (£12 for 100ml), the Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser (£3 for 60ml) and the Aloe Calming Toner (£8 for 200ml). Due to the colder weather and the inevitable dry skin that follows I have been looking for a thicker daily moisturiser and an intensive moisturising face mask.

I bought a full sized toner but only bought a travel size of the cleanser because they had sold out of the bigger bottles but it's a good size to try it out and see how my skin gets on with it.

The other skincare item I bought was the Tea Tree Night Lotion as it had amazing reviews on the website. I am hoping that this well help with blemish prone areas and some of the reviews suggested that it helped to fade scars. I must say I was shocked at the size! Being £9 I expected it to be the same size as the Toner and forgot to check, this does seem like a lot of money for this small bottle (30ml) but due to the small amount that needs to be used it will hopefully last a while!

I also bought the Almond Hand Cream (£5 for 30ml) as my hands get ridiculously dry in the winter and I love almond scented things. It really smells like bakewell tarts! I do like the packaging but the only probably is that when it gets squashed it doesn't pop back in to place, which means that when you open the lid the product gets pushed out and you often need to use more than you wanted which is a bit of a waste.

The final thing I purchased was a Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm in Watermelon which I purchased because my order came to £59.50 and I had to spend £60 to get the special offer. This was only £2 and I'll always use a lip balm. It does smell very good and very sweet, it reminds me of a 'no tears' shampoo I used to use as a child so I get a warm nostalgic happy feeling whenever I smell it.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my Body Shop haul. I have a great range of products to try and I'll review them once I have had a chance to try them out properly.
