If All My Makeup Disappeared...

After seeing Estee's (from Essie Buttons) YouTube video with the same title (see here), it got me thinking about the 10 products I would re-purchase if all my makeup suddenly disappeared.

There are maybe 4 products that I use pretty much everyday which would be obvious re-purchases but I couldn't wait to think about what the other 6 would be. As mentioned in my previous posts I have always loved wearing makeup but it wasn't until this year that I became full-on obsessed with the stuff! I have bought more makeup this year than probably the last 5 years combined.

It really got me thinking, out of all the new products I have researched, tried and purchased, which items could I not live without out? (A bit dramatic!) Or as this post suggests, which products would I prioritise if all my makeup disappeared?...

Okay so lets start with the basics.....
1. Maybelline SuperStay 24hr Foundation in Light Beige - This is my everyday foundation and I only really use my more expensive alternatives on special occasions. I love the colour, coverage, finish and longevity. I never hear/read a lot about this foundation but it works for me. (I have normal/dry skin and the coverage is medium but can be built up).

2. Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara -  I just love it. See this post.

3. Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner - My eyes just feel a bit naked without some kind of dark winged liner and this is my everyday choice. I do occasionally use a pencil eyeliner and have recently been getting in to using eyeshadow for a softer look but this one is my favourite.

4. Une Eyebrow Pencil in B05 - This has become my go to product after my Quest For The Perfect Eyebrow Product (see this post) and the more I use it the more I love it! It stays put all day and is not at all red toned. It is a very soft pencil though so it does need to be used with a spoolie to brush it out and make it look more natural. Does that mean a spoolie needs to be added to my list?....Nah lets leave tools and brushes out of it. More fun that way!

So then on to the other 6....

5. Urban Decay Naked Palette - This is one of the first products I bought for my wedding and I love it. I have recommended it to everyone and one of my best friends and my sister have bought it based on this recommendation. This one is also a smart choice as it has 12 different shades which are a mixture of matte and shimmery shades so can be used to create many different looks from day to evening.

6. Carmex - Although it would be nice to add a fancy brightly coloured lip product to this list, I have always been a practical girl and this lip product gets used far more often than any other. I very rarely leave the house with out this little yellow lidded pot somewhere in my handbag. Plus there is simply no point picking a fancy lipstick if my lips are too dry and chapped to wear it!

7. No.7 Stay Perfect Blemish Cover - I keep trying new concealers to find a holy grail product with the perfect colour, application and coverage but am yet to find 'the one'. With my skin concealer is definitely a must and one that I keep going back to (which is nearly perfect but just a little drying) is this No.7 one. It is good and reliable and will do until I find that perfect product.

8. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink - I still get that excited happy feeling everytime I use this product even though I bought it months ago. It is also a great multi-tasking product which can be used on cheeks and lips, so if I do get bored of my Carmex I could always use this beauty to give my lips a pop of colour. It is a classic pink colour and is a perfect blush choice for pale skin!

9. Benefit's Feelin' Dandy Lip and Cheek Kit - This is another smart choice as it has a selection of mini products inside. Is that cheating?? I used 3 of the products from this kit on my wedding day so I must love it! They were the High-Beam Highlighter, the Posietint cheek stain and the Dandelion Blusher. It does also have a Dandelion Lipgloss which I don't really use just because I'm not that in to lipgloss. But this kit does give me another lip choice, two more blusher options and a highlighter. Ooh yeah, I'm liking this choice!

10. Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze - This was also one of Estee's choices and an overall blogger favourite, but for good reason! This is by far my favourite easy and lazy eyeshadow look, it literally takes second to apply and the colour is beautiful! It can also be used as an eyeshadow base/primer when using my Naked Palette.
