Makeup Storage Haul - Staples' Martha Stewart Range

I have recently been looking for some new makeup storage as I currently have it all divided in to separate makeup bags under my bed and in my bedside table. The current system works okay but it doesn't look great.

Martha Stewart Home Office Storage Solutions Range From Staples

I have of course been tempted by the Muji storage but I fancied something a bit different. I may still get some when my makeup collection expands a bit though. So anyway, on a random stationary window shopping trip to Staples, I found the perfect solution!

I wanted something clean, smart and tidy that can sit on my bedside table. I live in a pretty small one bedroom flat so don't currently have a dressing table/vanity. Instead I happily apply my makeup whilst in my bed (nice and comfy!) and keep everything next to/in my bedside table. As I am a relatively new beauty blogger my makeup collection really isn't very big and I would struggle to fill two drawers of an Ikea Alex!

Staples have a Martha Stewart range of office and desk organisers which are just perfect for makeup! They have a lovely 'shagreen' textured finish which is sort of a snakeskin/leathery appearance which looks really smart and expensive and it comes in a pale turquoise green, white or brown.

It is a modular system so they all fit together and stack and you can mix and match to suit your storage needs. I went for white (but the green was gorgeous) as I have purple accents in my bedroom and white should go with anything. I bought a drawer which has a letter tray on top, a desktop organiser which fits on top of the drawer, a pencil holder for my makeup brushes and two small boxes with lids. And the best thing was that they are all buy 1 get 1 free in-store or half price on the website. The website prices are excluding vat so it actually works out slightly cheaper in the buy one get one free deal if you do them in separate transactions e.g most expensive together, cheapest together etc. The Hubby got a notebook from the same range which is why I have 5 items instead of 6.

Drawer £13, Desktop Organiser £15, Pencil/Pen Holder £6, Small Storage Boxes £4 each.

The last photo is a a letter rack which I bought a couple of months ago from Wilkinsons (I think it was £3.75) which I have been using to hold my makeup palettes. I will try and integrate it in to my new storage as well because it is just so pretty!

I thought I would let you have a little peek at my makeup storage haul before I start filling it all up with makeup, but I will put up another post later in the week when it is all finished!

The storage was all bought today so it is still half price on the website and buy one get one free in-store.
