e.l.f Haul

When researching some US cosmetics for my friend's trip to Vegas I came across lot of e.l.f products. I had heard of the brand as they often come up in American beauty blogs but not so much British ones. I have always been intrigued by them, they are very cheap and seem to have a great range of products but I assumed I wouldn't be able to get my hands on them. When compiling the US Wish List post I actually landed on the e.l.f's UK website. Who knew?! I'm pretty sure you can't buy e.l.f products in stores in the UK but you can get them on their UK website!

Being a beauty blogger and figuring out that I could indeed buy some e.l.f products inevitably led to a massive order being placed and a haul post of course!

Not only are the products really cheap with none of the above products being over £4 each, but they also had a special offer of 30% off and free delivery when you spend over £25! It would have been rude not to.

I ordered 8 products which totalled just over £25 and I got it for about £17!

The e.l.f Eyelid Primer (£1.50) was one of the product that I had read a lot of recommendations for. Unfortunately they had sold out of the original one which I believe is transparent so I bought it in Champagne. The blushers were also highly recommended so I bought the e.l.f Powder Blush (£3.75) in Twinkle Pink as a potential Nars Orgasm dupe (which I can't afford).

The e.l.f Complete Coverage Concealer Palette (£3.75) in Light seemed like a good option as I am on a quest for a new concealer but am struggling to find the right shade (see previous concealer post). This gives me 4 different choices and the option to mix them together to create a custom shade.

I try to wash my makeup brushes every week or two to keep them clean but I currently only own three eyeshadow brushes and often use all of them for one look. This can be a problem when I want to use them the next day with different eyeshadows. As a proper brush cleaning can take a while I liked the idea of the e.l.f Daily Brush Cleaner (£3.75). All you need to do is spray your brush a couple of times after use and use a tissue or a face/baby wipe to get off the excess product and then just leave them to dry for the next day. Sounds great!

If you read my Mac Espresso Eyeshadow post (read here) you will know that I am hoping to build a Mac eyeshadow quad but am having to do it slowly as it is crazy expensive! I bought a de-potted Mac Espresso Eyeshadow and have been keeping it in my Unii palette but then saw this magnetic quad Custom Compact Palette on the e.l.f website. I researched it a little and Mac eyeshadows (which are also magnetised) will also fit in the e.l.f palette. This palette is only £1.50 in comparison to the Mac empty quad palette which is £6.50!

Intrigued by that weird looking lipstick in the picture above? Looks a bit unusal doesn't it? This lipstick is actually a Lip Exfoliator (£3.75). How brilliant is that?! I get really dry and chapped lips so wearing some lipsticks can be a problem. This Lip Exfoliator has shea butter, avacado and vitamin e so it is meant to be very moisturing. It is quite gritty and you just apply it in small circular motions and then wipe away. Very excited to try this one.

I think the product I am going to love the most is the e.l.f Shimmer Palette (£3.75). This has four different shimmer shades of a creamy texture which can all be used as highlighters. Applied on the tops of the cheek bones, on the brow bone or as an eyeshadow I think these highlighters are going to be beautiful!

The last product I picked up is the e.l.f Tone Correcting Powder (£3.75) which has four different shades, green, yellow, blue and pink. Each shade helps to cancel out red and purple tones on the face when applied as a setting powder. I have a lot of redness on my face and usually use the Clinique Redness Solutions Powder (which you can read about here) which is great but you don't get a lot of product and it does cost about £25 so I wanted a cheaper alternative for everyday use.

I will write some in-depth review posts about some of these products once I have given them a good test. I am so excited about a lot of these products and there is nothing better than receving a big box full of goodies which you can't even feel guilty about because it is so cheap. I was back on their website last night and the 30% offer has finished but they now have a 60% off when you spend £25 offer! Even better! Just enter code 600713 at checkout.
