Bioderma Micelle Solution

I honestly did not want to like this product. I wanted it to be one of those products that was really hyped up but wasn't actually that great and that I could quite happily live without. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case...

I have very sensitive skin which has been a complete nightmare for around the last four months. I have always had a few blemishes but recently it has been a lot worse and it has really been getting me down.

I tried the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions range but that just seemed to make it a lot worse (see this post). I think it was far too strong for me and it left my skin feeling tight, dry and looking quite red after use. I also tried the Origins Super Spot Remover but was left very underwhelmed even though I had read such great reviews on it. The more products I tried, the worse it got, so I eventually stopped using products completely. I just used simple makeup wipes to remove my makeup (I know it's apparently a beauty sin!) and moisturised everyday.

When I went on my beauty shopping trip to London (which you can read all about here) I had a list of products I wanted to buy/try and Bioderma Micelle Solution was not on it. But when I popped in to Zest Pharmacy and saw it on the shelves, I just couldn't resist. So many blogs that I read have raved about it and they are bloggers whose opinions I really trust so I thought I would give it a go and see what all the hype was about.

When I first used it to remove my makeup and cleanse my face at the end of the day I remember thinking how gentle it felt on my skin and how well it removed my makeup. My skin felt clean after using it but not at all tight. When I woke up in the morning, I swear my skin felt different! All my blemishes just looked much calmer and my skin wasn't as dry as it usually was. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence and continued to use Bioderma both morning and evening to judge it over a longer period of time.

Since I have started using it my skin has felt so much better, don't get me wrong, it hasn't cleared up my skin miraculously or anything like that but I seem to be getting less blemishes and when I do get  them they are much calmer, heal much quicker and they are less dry which makes them much easier to conceal.

My skin seems less red in blemish prone areas of my face and my skin just looks a bit healthier. I am so pleased with the results and I have a feeling this will become a skincare must for me. I only bought the 250ml bottle (which was just £9.99 in Zest) to begin with and am now trying to figure out when I can next pop to London to stock up. They do seem to sell it on Ebay and Amazon but after a recent counterfeit Benefit experience on Ebay I am quite sceptical about buying products like this on these sites.

Have you hopped on the bandwagon and tried Bioderma? Have you noticed changes like I have? Let me know by commenting below...
